Australian artist Courtney Barnett is excellent live – we have the ‘bought in post-gig over-excited state’ official Courtney Barnett bright-red socks to prove it. Now she’s showing off some of her best live performances in a new archives website.
It’s a combination of footage from concerts, radio sessions and other live appearances since the early days of her career, along with photos, artwork, set lists and other content. There’s also a timeline of every show Barnett has ever played, and a request for fans to upload their own photos, videos and audio recordings, which will be organised under that timeline. I
t’s an excellent rabbit-hole for fans to dive down, and falls into the wider trend of artists launching archival sites and inviting fans to contribute their own memories and content.
