Distributor TuneCore’s global expansion continues, after a busy 12 months that has seen it open offices or sign partnerships in India, China, Brazil, Russia, South Africa and Nigeria. Next on the Believe-owned company’s list of new territories is Latin America.

TuneCore LatAm will be run by current TuneCore Brazil boss Bruno Duque, and will oversee the company’s activity in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Domican Republic and Puerto Rico, but also in Spain.

“Whether it is Puerto Rican reggaeton, Dominican merengue, Colombian cumbia, or myriad other genres, there is so much musical creativity going on in the region that not only deserves to be heard by a wider audience, but also deserves to generate revenue for the artists,” said Duque.
