Spotify launched its ‘promo cards’ last year as a way for artists to promote their music and playlist adds to fans on social networks. Now the company is upgrading the feature with more options, having seen “hundreds of thousands” of these cards created and used by artists.

Among the new options: milestone cards for artists to show off when they reach various follower milestones (from 1,000 followers to 100 million) as well as chart positions. There is also a new badge showing when the music being promoted is new (i.e. released in the last week); the ability to deep-link to promo cards; and 30 more playlists that can be turned into promo cards when an artist has a track added to them.
