Apple launched its MTV-style music videos channel last October in the US, but now Apple Music TV is expanding to the UK and Canada. It went live on Friday, offering a similar round-the-clock mix of music videos, with an emphasis on current hits. Viewers can watch it from the browse tab in the Apple Music and Apple TV apps.

The free service will also screen live shows, events and chart rundowns, while Apple says the music content it has produced for Apple Music in recent years, including concert films and artist interviews, will also be aired on its music TV channel.

As with its radio stations, the company has not yet published any figures on how popular Apple Music TV has been so far in the US.
