According to a recent Bandsintown survey, more than 22,000 artists have promoted livestreams on its service in the last year. It feels like around the same number of founders have launched livestreaming concert startups in the same period… The latest is called Doors, and its founder has a history in digital music.
Joel Broms Brosjo was on the original team of Beats Music – the service that ultimately became Apple Music – and he went on to also co-found B2B service Soundtrack Your Brand.
Doors is soft-launching tomorrow (14 April) ahead of an official launch next week, according to Bloomberg. “We provide a one-stop shop for engagement, ticketing, broadcasting, reporting and payment,” said Broms Brosjo, adding that performers will receive 70% of the revenues from their concerts on the platform.
