New Zealand band Six60 have been experimenting with livestreaming recently: for example a claimed ‘world first’ TikTok livestream earlier this year. Now they’re becoming a guinea pig for the anticipated hybrid model of physical concerts and livestreams.

This Saturday (24 April) Six60 will be playing to 50,000 people at Eden Park in New Zealand: a sign of how well that country has dealt with the Covid-19 pandemic. However, it’s not just those 50,000 fans who’ll be watching. Six60 is working with Veeps to livestream their performance, while also making it available on-demand for a week after the show. Tickets for the livestream and on-demand element cost $15, or $20 if bought on the day of the show.
