Another busy day for Spotify, with three announcements from various parts of its business. First, CEO Daniel Ek announced that Spotify is rebranding the Locker Room live-audio app that it recently acquired. It will now be called Spotify Greenroom, with an expanded focus on music and culture as well as sports.

Second, Spotify launched its new ‘Equal Music Program’ that aims to boost 35 artists who are women on its platform. The company is also relaunching its ‘EQL Directory’ of women and non-binary creators (adding the vowels back in to make it the ‘Equal Directory’) and setting up a board of organisations including She’s The Music, SheSaidSo and Music Women to advise it on further action.

Finally, Spotify also took the wrappers off its redesign of its app’s ‘Your Library’ page, with new filters to find saved music and podcasts; better sorting options; and the ability to pin certain playlists, albums and shows for faster access.
