British independent music body Aim is launching a free equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) training program for its members, designed to help smaller businesses make positive changes in this area.

The ‘EDI Level-Up’ program will involve five core training sessions, plus two more optional ones focusing on “the specific challenges of implementing positive change in difficult circumstances”. Details can be found here.

Meanwhile, the US-based Association of Independent Music Publishers (AIMP) is launching its own EDI initiative, starting with a survey of its members to understand how they stand in these areas.

Here, too, there will also be training sessions: three in June and July. Members can email DEI@aimp.org to take part in the survey and find out more.
