Alicia Keys is the latest artist getting fans to provide the content for a marketing campaign.

Her new website Memories of A Minor harks back to her debut album ‘Songs in A Minor’, which was released 20 years ago. The site encourages fans to “send a letter to Alicia” and is publishing them (along with their photos) using a globe UI to help other fans browse through them.

The site was created for Sony Music by digital agency Modern English, and it’s a neat way to tap into fans’ memories for an album anniversary. Our only quibble is that the handwriting-style font used for the letters could be a little easier to read.

Music Ally’s next Learn Live webinar will help you understand what’s required for artists to thrive in new international markets!
