Creator tools firm Landr has announced its latest acquisition: of audio software company Synchro Arts. That’s the firm behind vocal production plug-ins VocAlign and Revoice Pro, which has been going since 1994.
“This deal is a natural fit. “Vocal processing is a key piece of the music creation process, and with Synchro Arts, we have added world-class technology to our platform and world class individuals to our team,” said CEO Pascal Pilon.
The acquisition should slot neatly into Landr’s growing collection of plug-ins for musicians, which has been built as part of its expansion beyond its original focus on AI mastering.
Landr now also does distribution, sells samples, has a video chat tool to aid musical collaboration, and a SoundBetter-style marketplace for hiring producers and engineers. Pilon also hinted at further plans for Synchro Arts’ technology: “something really exciting that will bring the magic of what Synchro Arts has accomplished to a whole new audience…”
