Streaming services aren’t just competing for listeners: they’re competing to offer the most useful tools and resources for artists. There’s a trio of announcements on that score today.
Apple Music has revamped its Apple Music for Artists website, including information on its new spatial audio format; Shazam charts and a 30-second clip-tweeting tool.
Second, Deezer has launched a new Deezer for Creators app for artists (as well as their teams and podcasters) offering analytics; promotional tools and charts. The launch comes with an offer just for artists: a discount on Deezer’s high-res HiFi tier.
And third, Indian service JioSaavn has unveiled ArtistOne, a revamped version of its Artist Insights portal. It will provide artists with analytics on their music, playlists, ‘shorties’ short videos and livestreams. There will also be editorial content with advice on building an audience and using those analytics to best effect.
