Audigo Labs was one of the startups taking part in the 2020 Techstars Music accelerator: we covered its pitch at the company’s demo day in May 2020. The business included hardware, software and services for musicians, podcasters and video creators: a wireless microphone; a smartphone app for recording; and a cloud platform for storing, collaborating and sharing the results. Now Audigo is taking pre-orders for its service, with the hardware shipping in August this year.
The company is charging $179 as a pre-order offer, which includes one microphone and access to its iOS app. In the future, it will also charge a subscription for premium features of its service: remote collaboration, multi-mic recording, 250GB of cloud storage and livestreaming support. “We believe it’s only a matter of time before the majority of high-quality audio and video creation goes mobile,” said CEO Armen Nazarian.
