Planning a festival or concert right now is a fraught business thanks to Covid-19, from safety measures to securing the necessary insurance to go ahead. OnePlan is one of the startups trying to help those organisers with their workflow, and now it has raised $3.8m of Series A funding to continue building its product and business.

Two years after launching, its service has already been used for more than 2,000 events, as well as by clients including English football clubs Arsenal and Chelsea, and US basketball team the Brooklyn Nets.

On the festivals side, OnePlan has created technology to manage fencing, barriers, crowd control, camping, parking, staging, vendors and security, as well as a feature with a 3D flythrough of a virtual version of a venue, and social distancing tools to handle Covid-safe measures.

As more concerts and festivals (and sports teams, of course) get up and running with events and crowds, OnePlan will be hoping to secure more business.
