Rock band Avenged Sevenfold released 101 NFTs earlier this year, and now frontman M. Shadows has been talking about the longer-term plans for all things non-fungible. It starts with seven of those existing NFTs being revealed as granting the owners lifetime access to meet’n’greets at Avenged Sevenfold concerts.

“I’ve been trying to introduce the NFT play to our fans, kinda slowly. We released an NFT with some unreleased music a few months ago, but we gave it out for free so people can get used to getting online,” said Shadows, according to Kerrang. “And the interesting thing about it is, there’s different camps that this all goes in to, but they’re almost like clubs of people. NFT grants you access into certain things, so what I want to eventually create – and we’re gonna create very soon – is a token that allows you to get no line into shows, free merchandise, free tickets for life, meet-and-greets whenever you want at the live setting. So all these attributes and traits are going to equal certain real-world utility.”
