We’re delighted to announce that the second edition of the Music & Tech Springboard Programme that we have partnered with British industry body the BPI on has launched this morning. It’s an initiative aimed at demystifying the music industry for music/tech startups, developers and people within larger technology companies.

This morning’s launch includes four videos with people from in and around the industry sharing their knowledge. The first features the three major labels, with UMG’s Glenn Cooper, Sony Music’s Victoria Cruz and WMG’s Scott Cohen talking startups, music and tech.

The second focuses on the classical sector, with LSO Live’s Becky Lees, Signum Records’ Steve Long and Decca’s Tom Lewis.

The third explores startups working with independent labels and self-releasing artists, with One Media IP’s Alice Dyson, Motive Unknown’s Darren Hemmings and artist Emma McGann.

Finally, the fourth focuses on investors in music/tech: Supernode Global’s Gina King, Ascension Ventures’ Nico Albanese, Innovate UK’s Tom Fiddian, and angel investor Göran Andersson.

You can watch the videos here; while startups can also sign up for a complimentary BPI membership.
