Music Tectonics Conference 2021

The Music Tectonics conference is set to take place in October this year, and now it has confirmed details of its ‘Swimming with Narwhals’ startups contest.

Music creation firm BandLab is the sponsor this year for a competition open to any music/tech startup valued at under $2m. BandLab CEO Meng Kuok’s personal fund will be investing up to $50k in the winner of the contest, which last year gave its gong to superfans startup Fave (who you’ll be hearing more from us about in the coming days…).

Applications are open until 16 August, and you can find the entry form here. And if you’re a startup hoping to make the best impression on the music industry, may we remind you that the second edition of the Music & Tech Springboard programme – a partnership between the BPI and Music Ally – recently launched, including videos with lots of advice for music/tech startups about appealing to investors and rightsholders alike.
