OnlyFans OFTV app

Superfan subscription platform OnlyFans is continuing its efforts to prove it’s more than just a platform for adult entertainment stars. The company has been diversifying by signing up musicians, podcasters, influencers and other kinds of creators in recent times.

Now there’s an app for that. It’s called OFTV and has launched for Android and iOS pitched as a way to “enjoy videos from your favourite OF creators from the convenience of your mobile device”.

However, to ensure it doesn’t get kicked out of the stores by Google and Apple, the app (as Bloomberg reported) will not include the NSFW side of OnlyFans content.

“There’s no adult content on OFTV. Because it’s not being monetised and there’s no direct impact on creators’ earnings, we are able to be in the app store,” said CEO Tim Stokely.

OnlyFans took more than $2.4bn payments from fans on its platform in its last financial year, which ended on 30 November 2020. Musicians using the platform include Cardi B and Bhad Barbie – the latter of whom generated more than $1m in her first six hours on OnlyFans in April this year.
