When the meninists of the internet aren’t accusing other people of being easily-offended ‘snowflakes’, they’re spending their time getting easily offended by… well, all kinds of things, including personal pronouns.

Watch them clutch their pearls, then, at the sight of Deezer’s latest original track: a reworking of The Weather Girls’ ‘It’s Raining Men’ as ‘It’s Raining Them‘.

Performed by trans artist and activist Mila Jam, Deezer promised that the track is “packed full of inclusive pronouns and updated adjectives”, having worked with charity Gendered Intelligence on the project.

The streaming service will also be donating its first year of revenues from the track to the charity. It’s part of Deezer’s wider investment in its ‘Queer Culture’ channel.

“Trans and non-binary people have been marginalised throughout history, including within the LGBTQ+ movements. We want to do our part by giving the community a voice and a platform to be heard,” said VP of artist relations Nigel Harding.
