We reported on the launch of music NFTs startup Serenade earlier this month, including its partnership with British music festival Strawberries & Creem. Now we have more information on what that partnership looks like. The festival has launched what it’s describing as ‘the first NFT line-up’ based on the artists playing its real-world event on 18-19 September.
That means a set of eight trading card-style NFTs featuring cartoon superheroes ‘inspired by’ artists including Burna Boy, Bugzy Malone, Pa Salieu and Cuppy. Each card will be sold in 200 editions, with most of them costing £200 each, plus an ‘Ultimate Founders’ card with 20 editions costing £500.
The NFTs will come with benefits at the festival itself, including entry to a VIP hospitality area, as well as access to archive content and a Discord community.
The rewards ramp up if they collect more than one: buy five, and they get a one-day backstage pass and a higher tier of Discord access among other benefits, while the perks for buying seven include ‘best seat in the house’ access for a headline set, a 10-year ‘golden ticket’ to the festival, and a chauffeur lift to this year’s event.
