Donda Stem Player

Kanye West famously continued tinkering with his ‘The Life of Pablo’ album even after it was released, altering tracks then replacing the older versions on digital services. It may come as no surprise to hear that he’s at it again with his latest album ‘Donda’ then.

News site HotNewHipHop reported that fans have noticed that Chris Brown’s backing vocals have been removed from one of its tracks, ‘New Again’, while KayCyy’s contribution to another track, ‘Keep My Spirit Alive’, has also been replaced. Elsewhere on the album there are bass boosts and mixing tweaks.

This may be becoming a wider trend: Drake reportedly updated some of the trackson his latest album ‘Certified Lover Boy’ recently, while Baby Keem added three tracks to his ‘the melodic blue’ album earlier this month post-release – although that’s more an expansion rather than changes to the tracks themselves.

Besides tweaking his own music, Kanye West recently launched a ‘Donda Stem Player’ device (pictured) to help fans remix his music – and other tracks.
