Do do do doo, do-do do-do-do, do-do do-do-do doo… That would be our transcription of the theme tune from UK football highlights show Match of the Day (yes, we’ll be submitting it to Genius…). And ‘Match of the Day’ is also the title of British industry body the BPI’s next insight session event, presented with us (Music Ally) and supported by Bowers & Wilkins.
It will explore the intersection of music and professional sport, with speakers including Universal Music Group for Brands’s Olivier Robert-Murphy and FIFA’s Jean-François Pathy; Midia Research’s Srishti Das; Sky’s Peter Bradbury; Shoot Music’s Tom Roberts; Trapital’s Dan Runcie; ClicknClear’s Chantal Epp and Music Ally’s own Joe Sparrow.
It takes place online on 4 November, with tickets available here – free to BPI members, with a £5 discount for members of other trade bodies, and £20 for everyone else.
