The Beatles TikTok

We’re about to enter a new period of Beatlemania thanks to the release of a newly-remixed version of the Beatles’ ‘Let It Be’ album, as well as Disney+ documentary ‘Get Back’. As part of the promotional efforts around all this, the Beatles now have an official profile on TikTok.

As with other heritage artist launches on the app, it brings music with it: 36 Beatles tracks added to TikTok’s catalogue for people to use in their videos. That includes all 12 tracks from ‘Let It Be’ and a raft of other songs that were number ones in the US and UK.

In truth it’s not surprise news: TikTok has been ticking off the band’s members (both living and dead) for a while now. John Lennon got an official profile in October 2020; Paul McCartney that December; Ringo Starr in July this year; and George Harrison in August.

Three days after joining, the Beatles account has more than 180,000 followers. Just 125.9 million more to catch up to Charli D’Amelio…
