French startup Groover launched its service in early 2019: a platform for musicians to submit their tracks for feedback from industry professionals. Now the company has raised a $7m funding round led by Partech and Bpifrance to continue growing.
Groover says that it now has more than 70,000 independent musicians signed up to its site, with more than 1m tracks having so far been rated by its community of 1,500 pros.
The funding will be used partly on expansion. “Groover will soon open its first offices in the US, which is already the second largest country for us after France, as 25% of our user base is from North America,” said CEO Romain Palmieri.
Groover is also working on its ‘Groover Obsessions’ accelerator program for some of the artists discovered through its service, which launched earlier this year. 50 musicians are now part of it.
