Processing hub ICE has a new boss. Or rather, it will have in March 2022, after a handover process from current CEO Thorsten Sauer.
The change was announced this morning, with the hub’s new chief to be Peter de Mönnink, a veteran executive from the broadcast and media industries, most recently CEO of Dutch media firm Talpa Network.
He joins the joint venture between collecting societies PRS for Music, STIM and GEMA as it passes more than €2.2bn in payouts since its launch in 2016.
“With Peter we will enter the next stage of ICE, successfully developing and implementing the next generation infrastructure for what is already the most authoritative copyright database globally,” said ICE board chairman Professor Rainer Minz.
