Livestreaming is a growing strategic priority for TikTok, and it has been keen to work with musicians as well as regular TikTokers to go live in its app.
Now that strategy includes a desktop application called TikTok Live Studio, which the company is testing in several countries according to TechCrunch.
“The program allows users to log in with their TikTok account and stream directly to TikTok Live,” it reported. “Within the program, you can communicate with viewers through the chat feature, and you can stream content from your computer, your phone or a gaming console.”
TikTok stressed that this is a test, and it may have some way to go before it can match the established broadcasting tools in the livestreaming space.
