US indies body A2IM is bringing its Black Independent Music Accelerator (BIMA) back for a second year. The initiative aims to help Black-owned independent music companies “grow their business, expand their network, and gain access to invaluable educational resources from some of the industry’s thought leaders”.
The program, which kicks off at the start of March, will provide participants with subsidised annual membership fees; tickets for A2IM events and conferences; meetings with DSPs and mentorship, among other benefits.
The initiative is open to US-based, majority (more than 50%) Black-owned independent music companies, and the deadline for applications is on 24 January: find more details here.
