Fresh from its $37m funding round, distributor Symphonic is launching a new feature to give musicians more insight into their TikTok earnings. The company says it’s the first distributor to add royalty analytics for TikTok to its dashboard for no extra charge.

So, artists will be able to see how many TikTok videos have been created using their music; how many views, likes, shares and comments those videos got; and relate that back to the royalties they are earning.

Like other distributors, Symphonic is seeing some of its artist clients do well on TikTok. For example, Doechii’s track ‘Yucky Blucky Fruitcake‘ raced to more than 3m video creations on TikTok, which in turn sparked more than 30m Spotify streams.

TuneCore, Believe and other distributors have also been talking more about their integrations with TikTok, and the viral success stories they’re seeing from their artists.

Music Ally’s next Learn Live webinar will help you understand what’s required for artists to thrive in new international markets!
