Based in Europe, ANote Music is one of the companies trying to build a business out of helping artists and labels to sell music rights. It says that 2021 was a year of strong growth, with its sales growing more than 550% to €6.5m. The caveat is that the company launched in July 2020, so the high year-on-year growth is not that surprising.
ANote closed a bridge funding round, secured €400k of research funding and appointed veteran exec (and Papa Beyoncé) Mathew Knowles as an adviser in October 2021, as it prepared for the next stage in its growth. This morning, the company is launching a redesigned version of its service, which it hopes will make it easier to use for investors.
“ANote’s performance in the 18 months since launching has well surpassed our financial targets, while also exceeding account registration forecasts. Looking at the months ahead, we are keen to harness this momentum by delivering a refined service that attracts new and repeat investors based on the quality of our user experience, customer service and product offering,” said CEO Marzio Schena.
