Streaming service Audiomack is the latest music company keen to help the next generation of Black executives get a foothold in the music industry.
It is working with the Black Music Action Coalition in the US on a new internship and mentorship program, which will choose five recent undergraduates for paid internships at Audiomack, as well as mentorship from industry figures including Republic Records’ Amina Diop, TMWRK’s Andrew McInnes, The Blueprint Group’s Cortez Bryant, and the managers of Anderson .Paak (Damien Smith) and Doja Cat (Gordan Dillard).
“As leaders in this industry, we must commit to hiring, developing and elevating Black talent to better reflect the communities that we serve,” said Audiomack’s VP of marketing and brand strategy Jason Johnson.
