Rosalía is the latest artist preparing to stream a concert on TikTok. Her ‘Rosalía TikTok Live’ performance will be broadcast on 17 March, and will see her playing the 14 tracks from her upcoming album ‘Motomami’.

Another twist: the 14 tracks have been “filmed entirely on mobile phones” – a tactic usually reserved for Apple to show off its iPhones. The stream will take place the day before the album’s release, with TikTok noting that Rosalía is already building momentum on its platform “with nearly 16 million followers and hundreds of millions of views on her videos”.

Her 2019 track ‘TKN’ alone has generated more than 2.2m video creations (a big metric in TikTok-land). The concert will be streamed from her TikTok profile.

In other news, TikTok’s tests of increasing the maximum length of video uploads to 10 minutes seem to have gone well: it is now rolling that feature out to everyone.
