UK charity Help Musicians is launching a dedicated helpline focused on bullying and harassment within the music industry. People experiencing these issues will be able to ring the helpline (0800 088 2045) to talk to a specialist advisor, who will offer them a risk assessment and coaching on how to approach either the person responsible, or their company.

Help Musicians stressed that all callers will remain anonymous. It cited recent campaigns and comments from musicians Rebecca Ferguson and Lily Allen as inspiration for setting up the helpline.

“The anonymous insight we will gather through this service will shed more light on the issues being experienced and help to target the collaborative efforts for positive and permanent change across the music industry,” said Help Musicians boss James Ainscough.
