Google’s Arts & Culture site and app are great for exploring museums and galleries remotely, but music is also part of its beat. Witness its latest addition: an online exhibition of Bob Marley artifacts produced with Tuff Gong that includes biographical content and more than 2,500 images – many of them previously unseen.
“On this great journey we see him, hear his music, we listen to his words, we look at his life and we learn something about him as well as ourselves,” promised his son Ziggy Marley, in a blog post introducing the project. “It is a living project that will continue to grow in the coming months and years. Enjoy the journey.”
The exhibition follows last week’s launch of ‘Mali Magic‘ on Google Arts & Culture, which spotlighted a range of music (along with manuscripts, monuments and modern art) from that country.
