It’s only a few months since we were writing about a partnership between smart-links fim Linktree and ecommerce platform Shopify. Now the latter is launching its own tool called Linkpop, which in theory is a competitor for Linktree.

Linkpop is described as “a free link in bio tool designed for commerce” which helps customers create a landing page with links to their merchandise, podcasts, NFTs, social media profiles, videos, Spotify playlists and more. The key aspect being the ability to add ‘shoppable’ links to this page with the promise that fans are only three clicks away from the checkout.

It’s an interesting move for a company that is increasingly active in the music space, including recent partnerships with Spotify and TikTok.
