The last time we checked in with music-industry network Vampr, in February 2021, it had just raised $790k of funding from an equity crowdfunding campaign and reached the milestone of 700,000 users.

Just over a year later, the startup has provided an update. Vampr has just raised $700k in another equity crowdfunding round, taking its total raised so far from all sources to $3.3m.

Meanwhile its user base has doubled to 1.4 million people, although we think that’s registered users rather than active users. Vampr said that since passing the 1m mark in November 2021, it has added another 400,000 users.

The company styles itself as ‘the LinkedIn for musicians’ – a professional social network for the music industry. The company says it is preparing to raise yet more money – a $2m round from private investors – while also launching an educational section of its service in April.
