Spotify is rebranding its Spotify Greenroom live-audio app to Spotify Live, and bringing its features into the streaming service’s main app. If this comes as no surprise, that’s because the plans were comprehensively leaked in March.

Spotify isn’t shutting down the standalone Spotify Live app though. In fact, listeners will still need to use it if they want to take part in the chat or join hosts ‘on-stage’ during live shows. The rebrand is also seeing some promotional welly put behind radio-style shows and live events, including an album release party for Swedish House Mafia’s ‘Paradise Again’ on 15 April. Other new live shows include ‘After Hours with Alex Cooper’ (the host of popular podcast ‘Call Her Daddy’) and ‘Tana’s Toxic Tips’ with influencer Tana Mongeau.

In separate news, Spotify’s head of talk partnerships, editorial and global markets Courtney Holt is leaving the company in what Variety is describing as an ‘amicable’ departure.
