Having become a key digital partner for the UK’s Brit Awards, TikTok is looking to continue its events-based promo with another partnership: with the Eurovision Song Contest.
It will be the ‘official entertainment partner’ for the 2022 contest, which takes place in Turin in May. TikTok is promising original programming, music playlists and behind-the-scenes content around the contest, including streams of the semi-finals and grand final from the official Eurovision account on the app.
TikTok says that the partnership builds on Eurovision’s existing popularity with its users: 3.7bn views of videos tagged #eurovision to date, and more than 1.4bn videos created for last year’s event alone.
