UK startup StreetTeam began life as an events company turning festivalgoers into ticket sellers, before rebranding as Verve, and then Pollen. Investors clearly approve of its evolution: the company has just raised a Series C funding round of $150m, taking its total to more than $250m.

MBW reported that VC firms including Kindred, Northzone, Sienna Capital, Backed and Draper Spirit were part of the new round. The funding will be used to develop its Pollen Presents and Pollen+ business lines, including working with promoters and music festivals to create ‘travel experiences’ around music.

“People want personalized travel experiences built around what they are passionate about and Pollen is at the forefront of this demand,” said CEO Callum Negus-Fancey.
