There’s a new music analytics platform in town: ChartCipher. It’s the result of a partnership between two existing startups in the song analysis space: MyPart and Hit Songs Deconstructed.

The new service will tap both companies’ technologies to analyse a catalogue of hit tracks, initially drawing on 11 of Billboard’s key charts dating back to the start of 2000. The pitch: “For the first time ever, music creators and executives will have access to deep analytics reflecting the songwriting and production decisions behind today’s most successful songs at scale,” said Hit Songs Deconstructed’s co-founder David Penn.

The new service will be shown off publicly for the first time at the Music Biz 2022 conference in Nashville on 11 May, with an invitation-only beta opening up for applications on 16 May.
