Having started in Europe with a mission to improve gender diversity in live lineups and within the music industry, Keychange is now preparing for its US launch.
This month’s A2IM Indie conference in New York will be a key plank in those launch plans, courtesy of Keychange’s partnership with Reeperbahn Festival New York – itself an offshoot of longstanding German festival and conference Reeperbahn.
The event will see a mixture of showcases involving women and gender minorities, as well as a panel organised by Music Cities Events, and with guests from UN Women, Shesaid·so, TuneCore and Keychange itself.
The US launch follows Keychange’s announcement in January of the latest 76 artists and innovators to join its talent development program.
