We are hiring! We are looking for a Royalty Manager – Royalty Income to join our Royalties, Income Tracking and Audit team at our London office!

BMG Production Music is the world’s fastest-growing production music catalogues servicing the film, broadcast, games and advertising industries. The department is sculpting new ways to connect creatives with composers, offering online access to a curated catalogue of around 500,000 tracks spanning all genres, and its custom music division works with BMG artists and songwriters for any project needing a personalised soundtrack. The Creative & Licensing team works directly with these key media clients pitching and providing the perfect music for their projects.

 

YOUR MISSION AT BMG:

To provide support to the Director – Royalty Income in all aspects of income cash for Recording, Publishing & Neighbouring Rights

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that the cash that has been entered into CashMatch (internal system) and that the journals have been entered correctly and finalized for Recorded
  • Liaise with Finance to raise invoices that are needed for societies to ensure the cash is received
  • Download royalty statements from external portals and emails, saving them to the Vault once matched with the cash received
  • Request royalty statements from a range of external income sources
  • Track cash, ensuring we have received all money according to the calendar schedule and to find a way to automate this procedure
  • Liaise internally with Berlin to ensure all statements can be processed
  • Check and if needed improve mapping of distributors
  • Run ad-hoc and scheduled reports as requested
  • Understand the deadlines of when all statements need to be with Berlin
  • All roles are interchangeable during peak periods and assistance should be given where needed.
  • Any ad hoc tasks assigned by senior director as and when needed

  • Interest in music and the industry

 

 

It’s a plus if you also have…

  • Experience in project managing
  • Managerial skills
  • Other languages a plus
