Peloton has workouts based on individual music artists. Apple Fitness+ has workouts based on individual music artists. Now Supernatural, the VR fitness app acquired by Meta last year, has… yes, you guessed it, workouts based on individual music artists.

The monthly ‘Supernatural Artist Series‘ is kicking off with Katy Perry, with Imagine Dragons, The Weeknd, Swedish House Mafia, Kid Cudi, Coldplay and Lady Gaga to follow over the rest of 2022. Billboard has more details, noting that Perry’s music will be used for a pair of workouts: one boxing and one cardio.

Supernatural emerged in 2020 as a $19.99-a-month subscription-based fitness app for VR headsets, and a determination to license music from labels from the start (as opposed to the production music focus of some rivals). Its founder, Chris Milk, said in January 2021 that he wanted to launch artist-specific workouts, so the new series has been in the works for some time.

Meta announced it was buying Within, Supernatural’s parent company, in late October last year.
