We reported yesterday on Spotify’s new test of direct ticket pre-sales and the new features in its Soundtrap music-creation studio.
However, the streaming service had another announcement too: the latest revamp of the Home screen in its mobile app.
The emphasis is on separate feeds for music and podcasts/shows, rather than bundling them all together in one feed. Both feeds will offer personalised recommendations of things to listen to, based on the user’s habits and tastes.
For now, the revamped feeds are rolling out on Spotify’s Android app, with iOS to follow “soon”. One benefit of separating the feeds might be to make it easier to add new features to them individually in the future, so we suspect there’ll be more tweaks and additions ahead.
