MMF opens applications for latest music managers accelerator

The Music Managers Forum (MMF) has been working with YouTube Music for some time on its Accelerator Programme for managers. Applications open today for the initiative’s fifth year, offering training and 12-month grants of up to £15k for the participants.

It’s targeted at independent music managers in the UK, with the MMF saying that by 2023, the programme will have supported more than 100 managers. Diversity is also a key part of the scheme: 40% of participants will have come from outside London, promised the MMF, while 43% are non-white and 44% women or gender minorities.

“The programme is now delivering a real legacy, and, by making the initial application process as painless and as accessible as possible, I hope we can continue to attract a diverse stream of candidates from across the UK,” said MMF professional development director Paul Bonham. This year’s application form is here.
