Distributor Symphonic has been steadily growing its business, including in territories like Latin America and Africa. Its latest move is a new tier called ‘Symphonic Starter‘ aimed at emerging artists.

For $19.99 a year, they’ll get unlimited releases; features to help them split payments; playlist tracking; and early dibs on third-party playlisting opportunities – the latter through Streaming Promotions, a company recently acquired by Symphonic.

Perhaps most interestingly, the company says its new tier will include “the industry’s first robust TikTok analytics” as part of its package. It’s become familiar to see distributors tweaking their prices and making flat-fee agreements as appealing as possible for independent artists. But with TikTok’s profile in the industry continuing to grow, doubling down on analytics for that platform could be a strong selling point.
