the 1975 amazon music livestream

Amazon Music really does have the bit between its teeth when it comes to livestreamed concerts. It launched a new weekly series of live performances to broadcast after its Thursday Night Football programme on Prime Video, then streamed Kendrick Lamar’s sold-out Paris concert last weekend.

Hot on the heels of that event, Amazon Music is now preparing to stream The 1975’s Madison Square Garden concert on 7 November. The gig will be streamed live on Amazon Music UK’s Twitch channel, with a re-broadcast the following day. Amazon said that the concert will then be available for on-demand viewing within the Amazon Music and Prime Video apps “at a later date”.

It’s another statement of intent for Amazon at a time when a number of its music-streaming rivals are also stepping up their efforts around livestreaming and online concerts.
