Moon Projects adds publishing division via Warner Chappell partnership

The lines between labels, music publishers and management companies get ever blurrier, with companies in each of these three sectors expanding into the others.

The latest example is independent label Moon Projects, which was launched in May 2021 by former TikTok and Triller exec Mary Rahmani (pictured).

Having already launched a label imprint with Republic Records, now Moon Projects is getting into publishing courtesy of a partnership with Warner Chappell Music.

“I could not be prouder to be working with them on this exciting joint venture, which will allow Moon Projects to further its goal of supporting the artists and songwriters we love in an equitable and transparent way that encourages career longevity,” said Rahmani in a statement.

The news comes after Moon Projects enjoyed a notable success with singer-songwriter Em Beihold, whose debut single ‘Numb Little Bug’ went platinum in the US.
