B2B music firm Tuned Global is seeing a big opportunity in the medical technology (medtech) industry, buoyed by a recent report predicting that musical therapy could be a $4.4bn market by 2028.
Now Tuned has signed up two more clients to help it grab a slice of those anticipated revenues.
MediMusic is one of them: a startup that serves music playlists to patients to help reduce their resting heart-rate, anxiety and stress responses. We wrote about the startup last month when it joined the Abbey Road Red music-tech incubator in the UK.
The second new client is Nue Life Health, which uses music as part of treatments for mental health conditions including PTSD and depression. Both companies will be tapping Tuned Global’s APIs for metadata, music content and streaming features, as well as rightsholder reporting.
