The Australian music industry has been rocked by recent revelations about sexual harassment and harm within its workplaces.
A report published last September found that 53% of respondents had experienced some form of this, including more than a third saying it had happened within the last five years.
Now industry charity Support Act has published a guide to sexual misconduct, bullying and discrimination to provide support for people who have had these experiences.
It offers definitions of harassment and assault; explains what people can do to stop it, and steps to take if they have been sexually assaulted; does the same for bullying and discrimination; and provides links to support services across Australia.
An important resource, and while the links are local, the advice will be relevant well beyond the country.
