Music creation firm BandLab recently reached a new milestone of 60 million registered users. Now it has announced its latest acquisition: beats marketplace Airbit.

The latter has sold more than 2m beats to producers and musicians so far, generating more than $50m of royalties for the original creators.

Its catalogue of more than 1m sounds will soon be part of BandLab’s offering, with the company promising “a seamless integration of Airbit’s features into BandLab’s creator platform in the near future”.

The 60 million users milestone means BandLab has added another 10 million registered users since June 2022 when it reached 50 million. That’s more than 1.25 million new users a month.

The company’s last funding round, in April 2022, valued it at $315m.
