Steve Cooper may have stepped down from his last job as CEO of Warner Music Group, but he’s not shuffling away from the music industry slippers in hand just yet.

Cooper was yesterday appointed as a board member of NFTs startup OneOf, which has worked on campaigns for artists including Doja Cat, The Notorious B.I.G. and Whitney Houston.

It’s not a brand new relationship: early last year when Cooper was still in situ at WMG, the company signed a label-wide partnership with OneOf as the latest in its flurry of NFT deals.

“Steve’s expertise across music, entertainment, and consumer brands is the perfect addition to OneOf’s leadership team,” said OneOf CEO Lin Dai.

Music has been one of its core areas from launch: the company was unveiled in May 2021 with backers including Quincy Jones Productions contributing $63m of seed funding.
